Broken records: 2011 SEMA Show wrap-up  

The numbers don’t lie. The 2011 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show was a huge success. A record 132,000 people attended the event, according to the Tire Industry Association (TIA), which sponsored the show’s Global Tire Expo section. There also were 61,000 buyers, also a record and close to 19% higher than last year.

Great expectations  

Expectations were high going into last month’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. Both SEMA and the Tire Industry Association (TIA), which hosted the first-ever Global Tire Expo — Powered by TIA as part of the 2010 SEMA Show, promised to deliver an event that more effectively met the needs of tire industry exhibitors and attendees.

Show of shows!  

Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW) kicks off Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, in Las Vegas. Comprised of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, which includes the Tire Industry Association (TIA) Tires, Wheels & Equipment (TWE) section, and the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), AAIW will include more than 4,000 U.S. and international exhibits. The AAIW expects more than 100,000 attendees who will get a chance to preview more than 7,500 new products.
