Replace tire valve cores on the Volkswagen Eos

On 2007-10 Volkswagen Eos vehicles, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) utilizes air pressure sensors in the wheels. The sensors transmit radio data signals to the Central Locking and Antitheft System antennas.

Special tools needed for the Audi Q7

If a wheel sensor of the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on the 2010 Audi Q7 senses a significant loss of air pressure in one or more tires, the sensor(s) sends signals (values) to the tire pressure monitoring antenna. The antenna transfers the values to the tire pressure control module.

No substituting Dodge Ram valve stems

If the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on 2008-09 Dodge Ram Cab & Chassis 4500 & 5500s detects low tire pressure, the system will continuously illuminate an indicator lamp.

TPMS: the next generation

They’re becoming a greater fact of life for tire dealers. Tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) have been required on all new vehicles under 10,000 pounds since 2007. But the technology was first required on 10% of vehicles in 2001. Now, some of those older sensors are reaching the end of their service life.

Get serious about BMW 6-Series

The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in 2004-06 BMW 6-Series vehicles keeps track of pressure levels in all four tires. If a significant drop in pressure is detected, the system will turn on a red tire pressure warning message on the control center, and also sound a warning signal. If there is a problem with the system itself, the warning light will be yellow.

'Accord'ing to Honda

When vehicle speed in a 2008-10 Honda Accord exceeds 28 mph, the tire pressure sensors begin to transmit. Using a radio frequency signal, the sensors transmit ID and pressure information to the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) control unit once very 60 seconds.

TPMS: It's finally getting better

I have to admit that I struggle when coming up with titles for my articles. I’m so bad that the editors at MTD have my unconditional blessing to change the title and they usually do. But this one is different because I’m confident it’s the perfect synopsis of where the industry stands with tire pressure monitoring systems, or TPMS.

Howdy, Audi!

The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on the Audi S6 provides warning messages on the car’s instrument cluster. As soon as the TPMS senses a significant loss of air pressure, text messages and yellow symbols appear in the instrument cluster display. The TPMS continuously receives radio signals from pressure sensors, which are located inside the car’s tires.

Command performance

The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in the 2006-09 Jeep Commander uses radio and sensor technology to monitor air pressure levels. Sensors are mounted to each wheel as part of the valve stem. Each sensor sends data to a central receiver circuit inside the Wireless Control Module (WCM). On premium models, the sensor transponders are mounted in the wheel housings.
