I received a call the other day from a tire dealer who was upset about the way he was being treated by a supplier. His dealership is a community institution, a well-respected place of business known for the way it treats its customers.

It isn't easy changing an LT tire into an ST tire, or vice versa

Are specialty trailer tires, designated ST, hard to classify? The Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) might say "Yes." The United States Department of Homeland Security would say "No."

Schwarzenegger signs bill banning lead wheel weights

On Oct. 11, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed SB 757 into law. The news was not totally surprising given its purpose: to ban the sale -- and installation -- of lead wheel weights throughout the state.
