Are tire sales up or down after 1Q? Our survey reveals all

If you compare the results of Modern Tire Dealer's "Exclusive State-of-the-Industry Survey" for the first quarter of 2011 with results from our 1Q 2010 survey, you will see two different tire sales trends. Overall, unit sales are down a little bit, while dollar sales are up a lot.

Getting price increases to stick is a sticky wicket for manufacturers and dealers

It seems like consumer tire price increases are being announced every other day. There have been 14 such announcements since the beginning of the year.
