The economy, OE tires and Sears: final notes from the Goodyear Dealer Conference

<p>The company has had fun with the Goodyear logo in its ads.</p>

Following what appears to be a record year, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. held its 2012 Dealer Conference in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 29-31. I was on hand for all the new product announcements, plus some fleet HQ announcements.

Everything seems to be going Goodyear's way in Canada

All went well for Goodyear in Canada the week of Jan. 22-28. Walmart Canada Corp. announced plans to open 40 Super Centres throughout the country in the next 12 months. And Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. forged a stronger relationship with its dealers up north.
