Richard Morgan writes a monthly e-newsletter that I always find interesting. As a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and president of Morgan Marketing Solutions Inc. in Dallas, Texas, he knows how to cut through the clutter and give strong business advice to tire dealers.
He describes his purpose as helping business leaders "tackle major issues and become better marketers, using a holistic business approach."
Morgan has strong ties to the industry, dating back 37 years. He was with Long Mile Rubber Co. from 1974-1989, then became a consultant. He also was one of the five judges who elected Nick Mitsos, CEO and president of Mountain View Tire & Service Inc., Modern Tire Dealer’s Tire Dealer of the Year in 2011.
In his December "Insights & Joy," he listed the "six steps to progress" in order.
1. Thoughts become vision.
2. Vision needs focus and a plan.
3. Plans mean involvement.
4. Involvement creates commitment.
5. Commitments and plans cause actions.
6. Actions become the new desired reality!
7. Reality shows beget the Kardashians.
(Whoops, the last one was mine, not Morgan's. Sorry.)
