Put the brakes on VW vibration  

Volkswagen drivers may complain of a pulsating brake pedal when applying the brakes at highway speeds. The pulsation may also be felt as a vibration in the vehicle body. AutoFocus: Making sense of wheel speed sensors  Web-Only Article

Wheel speed sensors and how we test them have been changing. Currently, two types of wheel speed sensors are in use: magnetic inductive (passive) and magneto resistive (active). Passive sensors have been around since the early days of the anti-lock brake system (ABS). These are the sensors that function on the generator principle. The sensors work with the toothed tone wheels to monitor and provide the anti-lock brake module (ABM) with wheel speed information.

Sky's the limit  

The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in the 2008-09 Saturn Sky contains several components: a Body Control Module (BCM), Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC), Driver Information Center (DIC), Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR), a radio frequency transmitting pressure sensor in each tire/wheel assembly, and a serial data circuit.
