It has been a good year to be a farmer. It also has been a good time to sell tires to them. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), net farm income is forecast to be up 31% at the end of 2011, to $103.6 billion, up $24.5 billion over 2010.

Long-term forecast  

Twelve months ago, the North American farm tire market was buoyed by robust export demand, high commodity prices and other forces. Those factors are still in play, though perhaps not as strongly, as 2009 winds down.

Poised for growth  

Growth” is the operative word at Alliance Tire Co. (1992) USA Ltd. The Denville, N.J.-based company, a subsidiary of Hadera, Israel-based specialty tire manufacturer Alliance Tire Co., plans to grow both its presence and product portfolio substantially over the next 10 months.
