Titan deal with Goodyear in Europe falls through

Morry Taylor, chairman and CEO of Titan International Inc., didn't pull any punches when the "put option" Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. had for the Amiens, France, facility expired on Nov. 30, 2011. That killed the 2009 tentative deal Titan had made to acquire Goodyear's farm tire business.

Titan is WAY up in 2Q income and sales

Titan International Inc. posted net income of $25.3 million on record net sales of $404.4 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011. That compares to income of $4.6 million on sales of $229.7 million for the same period last year.

Titan turns yearly loss into small profit

Titan International Inc. recorded net income of $400,000 on net sales of $881.6 million for its fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2010. That compares to a net loss of $24.6 million on sales of $727.6 million in 2009.
