Yokohama to give away truck tires at MATS

Yokohama Tire Corp. will give away a free set of its Zenvironment commercial truck tires, a $5,000 value, during the upcoming Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, Ky.

"One lucky attendee will win eight Yokohama 703ZL drive tires and two 101ZL steer tires simply by signing up at the (company's) booth," say Yokohama officials.

Yokohama also will provide free installation and valve stems at the Yokohama tire dealer of the winner's choosing.

The 101ZL premium steer tire will be available October 2010 in four sizes: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5, 11R24.5 and 285/75R24.5.

"The economy continues to be tough, and we are pleased to be able to offer a prize that helps reduce operating costs for years to come for one lucky fleet or owner-operator attending MATS," says John Cooney, Yokohama's director of commercial tire sales.

Both tires have been certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay program.

MATS will be held March 25-27.
