Titan has record Q4, record 2011

Titan International Inc. recorded net income of $19.5 million on sales of $402.9 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2011. That compares to a net loss of $9.1 million on sales of $232.7 million for the same time period last year.

Titan buys Goodyear's Union City, Tenn., plant

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. confirms it has finalized the sale of its Union City, Tenn., facility to Titan Tire Corp., a subsidiary of Titan International Inc. Terms of the deal will not be disclosed by Goodyear at this time.

Titan International Inc. has reported that sales for the third of quarter 2011 set a record at $398.8 million, up 79% compared to $222.8 million in the third quarter of 2010.

Yokohama Tire Corp. will increase prices by up to 8% on all of its consumer tires sold in the United States effective Nov. 1, 2011. There will be in-line adjustments as well, which will be announced at a later date.
