Michelin will build another OTR plant in S.C.

In what it calls its "biggest manufacturing news in more than 15 years," Michelin North America Inc. will not only build a new OTR tire plant in Anderson, S.C., but also expand production at its OTR tire facility in Lexington, S.C.

Rollier to step down as head of Michelin

Michel Rollier, managing general partner and chairman of Groupe Michelin, announced at the company’s annual meeting his intentions to leave office on May 11.

Michelin launches billion dollar stock offering

Last week, Groupe Michelin launched an estimated 1.2 billion euro ($1.6 billion) stock offering that will remain open until the close of trading on Oct. 13, 2010. Specifically, it was "a capital increase via an offering of preferential subscription rights to existing shareholders."
