With just over two weeks left before Pirelli’s second season of Formula One gets underway in Australia, the teams are embarking on the final four-day pre-season test for the 2012 tires, which takes place once more in Barcelona this week from March 1-4.

The heat is on as Pirelli returns to Alabama race track

Pirelli returns to the heat and humidity of Alabama this weekend for the Sunday running of the Porsche 250 presented by Legacy Credit Union at Barber Motorsports Park. The two and three-quarter hour Grand-Am Rolex Series contest is the featured race this weekend, and can be seen live on SPEED at 3 p.m. ET (Noon PT) Sunday, July 19.

Pirelli returns to Daytona this weekend for a second time this season, ready to set all-new records at the storied Florida raceway in the Brumos Porsche 250. The Saturday, July 4th race is scheduled for 70 laps/250 miles on the 3.56-mile Daytona International Speedway road course and can be seen live on SPEED at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT).

Pirelli fitments satisfy Porsche

The Pirelli Tyre Group is suppling Porsche AG with summer and winter homologations for the 2010 Panamera. The original equipment tires include the P Zero for summer fitments and Winter Sottozero Serie II for winter fitments.
