Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc. reports the company’s president, Masaharu Yoshimoto, will be retiring at the end of March, and that Takashi Shimizu has been appointed its president effective April 1.

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. will increase prices on its commercial truck tires by up to 7% effective Feb. 1, 2010. The increases, which will included in-line adjustments, are necessary because of rising raw material costs, according to the company.

Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. posted a net loss of 2.6 billion yen on net sales of 62.3 billion yen for its first quarter ended June 30, 2009. That compares to a net loss of 1.4 billion yen on sales of 86.6 billion yen for the same period in its previous fiscal year.
