Yokohama has 'Grand' plans for 2012

Yokohama CEO: Japan still recovers from tsunami

Yasushi Tanaka assumed the reins as Yokohama Tire Corp.’s (YTC) president and CEO in July, 2011. Tanaka came from YTC’s parent company, Tokyo, Japan-based Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. (YRC), where he was instrumental in developing the company’s Grand Design 100 corporate philosophy.

Yokohama will adjust commercial prices 8%

Yokohama Tire Corp. will implement a price increase of up to 8% on all of its commercial truck tires in the U.S., effective Feb. 1, 2012. There will be in-line adjustments, as well, which will be announced at a later date.

Yokohama: six-month income drops as sales rise

Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. recorded net income of 294 million yen on net sales of 258.2 billion yen for the first six months of fiscal 2011 ended Sept. 30. That compares to income of 1.2 billion yen on sales of 238.3 billion yen for the same period last year.

Yokohama pricing will jump up to 8%

Yokohama Tire Corp. will increase prices by up to 8% on all of its consumer tires sold in the United States effective Nov. 1, 2011. There will be in-line adjustments as well, which will be announced at a later date.

Yokohama partners with New England Patriots

The New England Patriots is now part of Yokohama Tire Corp.’s roster of sports marketing partnerships. The Fullerton, Calif.-based tire maker announced it is sponsoring the National Football League's (NFL) three-time Super Bowl champion Patriots for the 2011 season.

Yokohama's net income rises 74% in 1Q

Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. recorded net income of 2.8 billion yen on net sales o129.4 billion yen for its fiscal 2011 quarter ended June 30, 2011. That compares to income of 1.6 billion yen on sales of 117.4 billion yen for the same period last year.
