Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. will announce its second-quarter 2009 financial results before the market opens on Thursday, Aug. 6.

Company management will discuss the financial results in a conference call beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time that same day. Individuals can access a Webcast of the conference call at the investor relations Web page at:

Cooper Tire & Rubber posted a net loss of $21 millon on net sales of $571 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2009. Cooper's sales were $108 million less than its first quarter 2008 sales.
