Longtime Arkansas Tire Dealers director Drummond dies

Nelson Drummond, longtime executive director of the Arkansas Independent Tire Dealers Association (AITDA), has died at the age of 69.

Drummond died this past Monday at his home in Horseshoe Bend, Ark.

He had served as executive director of the AITDA for the last 15 years. Prior to taking that position, Drummond spent 30-plus years at Firestone Tire & Rubber Co.

Services will be held Sunday, July 12. A spokesman for the AITDA says the association is in the process of setting up a memorial fund in Drummond's name.
