CTNA will raise prices up to 5%

Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA) will raise prices on its Continental, General and proprietary brand passenger and light truck tires up to 5%, effective Jan. 1.

The increase encompasses all CTNA consumer tires sold in the United States and will vary by market line and/or tire size, according to CTNA officials.

The hike is necessary "due to increasing costs."
