Becker Tire receives Bridgestone Bandag award

Becker Tire & Treading Inc. has received a 35 year service award from Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions.

Accepting the award at the 2010 Bridgestone Bandag Executive Symposium in Marco Island, Fla., was Gary Albright, Becker Tire president and CEO; Steve Burhenn, executive vice president and CRO; and Willy Allen, senior vice president.

Becker Tire is a Bandag franchisee. Its retread plant in Great Bend, Kan., retreads more than 2,100 truck tires per month, the company reports.

Becker Tire & Treading was started in 1954 by Harold Becker and now employs more than 130 people in numerous retail stores, satellite locations, wholesale warehouses, a commercial truck center and its retread plant.
