TRIB updates recommended practices guide

The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) had updated its “Industry Recommended Practices for Tire Retreading & Tire Repairing” document and is offering it for sale.

This new document, which carries a revised date of Nov. 16, 2009, supersedes its predecessor, which was updated June 7, 2001. TRIB has been designated the sole agent for distribution and general dissemination of the document.

According to TRIB, the content represents “a consensus of substantially all segments of the tire retreading and tire repairing industry,” including, but not limited to, the Tire Industry Association, Tread Rubber and Tire Repair Material Manufacturers Association and the Rubber Manufacturers Association.

“Industry Recommended Practices for Tire Retreading & Tire Repairing” is available in three formats, all suitable for printing:

1. Digital download. Cost: $50 member, $300 non-member.

2. CD. Cost: $65 member, $315 non-member.

3. Hard copy. Cost: $75 member, $325 non-member.
