Nokian adds to forestry tire line-up

Nokian Tyres plc has introduced the Nokian Forest King F 710/45-26.5, a cross-ply tire for rugged forestry applications.

The tire comes with a 24 ply rating and boasts increased load-carrying capacity. Features include a wide tread area, strong shoulders, a groove profile that deepens on the shoulder and others. according to Nokian officials.

"The efficiency requirements of modern forestry tires have increased year by year," says Martti Paivinen, Nokian Heavy Tyres' product development manager. "In addition to environmental friendliness, machine manufacturers and contractors are looking for products that feature high quality and increasingly better load-bearing capacity and traction."
