Continental rolls out tire for regional buses

Continental Tire the Americas LLC (CTA) has introduced the Continental HSR2 SA, an all-position medium truck tire for regional buses and recreational vehicles.

The tire is available in sizes 275/80R22.5, 295/80R22.5 and 315/80R22.5. Features include Continental's VAI+ System, a series of sipes that detect faulty alignment conditions; a five-rib tread design; and more.

"Not only will fleet operators and drivers find the HSR2 SA to be fuel-efficient, but other features we added to this tire mean that it will perform well on regional roads in both North and South America, where you may find wet and muddy conditions, stones and other road hazards," says Roger Stansbie, CTA's director of truck engineering for the Americas.

The tire also is on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay list.
