TIA adds workers' compensation benefit

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has teamed with Federated Insurance to offer its members access to affordable, comprehensive workers' compensation insurance.

"Federated is rated A+ by AM Best," say TIA officials. "Their mutual company structure allows them to maintain a steady focus on their principal stakeholders, their clients. This commitment has lead to the development of many value-added products and services that will help TIA members control their losses and lower their insurance premiums."

Since 2009, TIA has recommended Federated for its Tire Dealer Shield property and casualty insurance program, which was designed specifically for tire dealers.

"Federated can assist TIA members with implementing programs such as return-to-work/light-duty, drug-and-alcohol-free workplace, and enrollment in managed care networks. By complementing an aggressive risk management strategy with Federated's workers compensation products, TIA members can position their business to reduce their workers' compensation premiums."
