BMW 1 Series will roll on Hankook tires

Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. has partnered with BMW AG as an original equipment tire supplier for the new BMW 1 Series.

The new BMWs will be fitted with Hankook’s ultra-high-performance Ventus Prime² tire. The Ventus Prime² has already been successfully used as original equipment on BMW’s sister brand.

“We are very excited about adding another luxury automotive line to our portfolio of original equipment brands”, said Soo Il Lee, president of Hankook Tire America Corp. “This new agreement with one of the world’s best known luxury brands is a testament to Hankook’s product quality and brand recognition and will help our growth globally.”

This new original equipment fitment adds to the number of fitments Hankook has with leading global manufacturers on vehicles such as the Lincoln MKT, Ford F-150 and Explorer, the Chevrolet Equinox, the GMC Terrain, the Volkswagen Passat, the Hyundai Sonata and the Kia Opitma.
