Nitto says Motivo is available to dealers

The Nitto Motivo was launched at the 2011 SEMA Show.

Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. previewed its Motivo all-season ultra-high performance tire line at the 2011 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in early November.

Three months later, the tire is available to tire dealers.

The tire's unique asymmetric tread pattern not only "attracts the eye," according to Nitto, but also optimizes the tread block arrangement in order to minimize road noise.

The non-directional pattern can be rotated front-to-back and side-to-side (except in the case of staggered fitments). "This freedom of rotation will promote even wear across the tread and reduce irregular wear," adds the company.

The Motivo is backed by a 60,000-mile limited tread wear warranty, the result of two key compounding features working together:

* silica-reinforced rubber and

* a special "wear-oriented" polymer.

Nitto is holding a "product & driving education event" in Scottsdale, Ariz., this week. Modern Tire Dealer is in attendance, and will pass along more details as the event unfolds.
