Bridgestone Americas Inc. has launched a line of all-season tires that combines run-flat capability with the smooth ride of a conventional tire. The company says DriveGuard tires are the first full line of mass-market replacement tires available for coupes, sedans and wagons not originally equipped with run-flat tires.

Tire Factory LLC capped its final year as a partnership with 28 more stores, about 8% more in revenues, and approximately a 5% increase in units of tires shipped. The dealer program group is beginning 2014 as a cooperative. The change in structure, which was passed by 97% of members, became effective Jan. 1.

Bridgestone Americas Inc. says the water dispersal ability of its new Blizzak WS80 winter tire for passenger cars and minivans is superior to its predecessor. It helps the tire create more grip on ice and snow. Dealers can begin placing orders this month for the WS80, which will officially launch in July 2014.
