Sullivan Tire keeps American League MVP Dustin Pedroia in the fold

Sullivan Tire Co. Inc., which does business as Sullivan Tire & Auto Service, has renewed its promotional contract with Dustin Pedroia, Boston Red Sox second baseman and 2008 American League Most Valuable Player.

Pedroia first signed with the company following his highly successful 2007 season, in which he not only helped lead the Red Sox to the World Series championship, but also received the AL Rookie of the Year Award. In addition to appearing in television ads, he made personal appearances at Sullivan Tire charitable events throughout the year.

As part of his new contract, Pedroia, also a 2008 Gold Glove Award winner, will appear in Sullivan Tire's multimedia advertising campaign throughout 2009.

"His extraordinary accomplishments, combined with his leadership qualities and commitment to the local community, are remarkable," says Vice President Paul Sullivan. "He's a first-class athlete, and we're delighted to have him representing the Sullivan Tire brand."

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service has been advertising on NESN since the channel's inception in 1984. Pedroia joins an impressive list of other Boston sports stars to be featured in Sullivan Tire commercials, including Dennis Eckersley, Cam Neeley, Marvin Hagler, Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and Terry Francona.
