Tire Choice chooses University of Miami, USF

Posted on August 30, 2009

Hennelly Tire & Auto Inc. has signed a multi-year sponsorship with two of the largest colleges in Florida -- the University of Miami and the University of South Florida (USF).

Hennelly Tire does business as The Tire Choice & Total Car Care, a 27-store chain based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The collegiate sports sponsorships are a first for the company.

"With our continued grow throughout Florida and the great opportunity this has in building our brand, we knew this would help in our continued successful growth of our company," says Chairman and CEO Dan Hennelly.

The deal with the University of Miami and its multimedia rights holder, Hurricane Sports Properties (itself a joint venture between International Sports Properties Inc. and Learfield Communications Inc.), will give the Tire Choice ownership of individual ticketbacks for all Miami Hurricane sports. The dealership also will receive sponsorship benefits through printed materials and visibility on Miami’s official athletic Web site, hurricanesports.com.

Additionally, Tire Choice will sponsor a football videoboard feature entitled, “The Tire Choice Gameday Tune-Up” and provide ongoing special store offers to Hurricane fans.

Tire Choice also will sponsor In-store promotions, such as the trip to see Miami and USF play in Tampa, Fla., on Nov. 28.
