Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. has expanded its partnership with Daimler AG and will be the OE tire supplier for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Guard, which will be fitted with the Kumho Solus KL21 in size 265/60 R18. The G-Class is manufactured in Graz, Austria.

The Kumho Solus KL21, manufactured in Kumho’s plant in Vietnam, is available in rim diameters ranging from 16 to 20 inches. The all-purpose touring tire provides all-season traction in a variety of driving situations.

The symmetric pattern is optimized for low-rolling resistance and its tread compound improves mileage and traction. The wide tread grooves provide driving stability and optimized ride comfort.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, short for Geländewagen (cross-country vehicle), is a four-wheel drive vehicle produced by Magna in Austria. It uses three fully locking differentials, one of few vehicles to have such a feature.

The G-Class Guard offers the very highest standards of personal security, without compromising on comfort and even meets VR6 and VR7 ballistics resistance standards, the highest possible classifications. This vehicle is the longest produced Mercedes-Benz in Daimler’s history with a span of 34 years.
