Perfect Equipment changes operating name

Posted on January 6, 2014

Perfect Equipment Inc., a wheel balance weight manufacturer in North America and founder of the Perfect Equipment wheel weight brand, announced it has updated its operating name to Wegmann automotive USA Inc. The change was effective on Jan. 1.

Though the overall operating name has changed, the 75-year-old product brand name ‘Perfect Equipment’ will remain unchanged and stay as a key member of the company’s brand portfolio.

The Perfect Equipment brand offers a range of wheel weight solutions including traditional, non-lead, knock-on and adhesive options.

The newly adopted North American operating name is a reflection of the overall parent company, Wegmann automotive GmbH & Co. KG of Germany, which has owned Perfect Equipment since 2005.

The company says the naming evolution helps galvanize the Wegmann automotive global platform and provides consistency to markets worldwide.

“Our top priority is to bring superior value to our customers,” says Jeff Waechter, CEO and president of Wegmann automotive USA Inc.

“By continuing to deliver market leading products under our Perfect Equipment and Hofmann Power Weight brand names and by providing ‘best in class’ service using our Wegmann automotive global network of teams, we feel we have set the stage to offer our customers the best value in the industry.”

The Perfect Equipment brand name was founded in 1939 and celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2014. To learn more about Perfect Equipment, visit www.perfectequipment.com. To learn more about Wegmann automotive, visit www.wegmann-automotive.com.
