Posted on January 6, 2014

Hankook Tire America Corp. has received a 2013 outstanding supplier award in the polymer category from Blue Bird Corp. The award highlights Hankook’s efforts as an original equipment tire supplier for Blue Bird’s line of school buses.

An original equipment partner with Blue Bird since 2012, Hankook provides its AH12 steer position and Z35A drive position bus tires as original equipment fitments for the company’s world-class school buses.  Hankook received this award in its first year of being a supplier to Blue Bird Bus.

“Being recognized by Blue Bird as an outstanding supplier highlights our dedication to exceptional product quality and service” says Brian Sheehey, director, commercial tires.

“We appreciate this award and what it says about our commitment to not only our original equipment manufacturing partners, but our bus customers as well.”

The company says it has been steadily expanding its portfolio of OE tire supply to premium automakers, light truck, and commercial truck manufacturers. The company currently offers 19 truck tire models providing coverage for all truck and bus tire service applications and are available at more than 900 servicing commercial tire dealer locations in the United States.
