Del-Nat taps Symonds as VP of marketing

Del-Nat's new VP of Marketing Lyle Symonds earned a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics and computer science from The Ohio State University.

Del-Nat Tire Corp. announced it has appointed 38-year industry veteran Lyle Symonds as the new vice president of marketing for the Memphis, Tenn.-based independent provider of auto, ag and commercial truck tires and tubes.

Symonds comes to Del-Nat from Carroll Tire Co. in Lansdale, Pa., where he served as president for the past five years, running 44 wholesale warehouses across the country. The company is a distributor of private and major brand tires.

Previously he served as president of Treadways Corp., after holding several positions with Continental/General Tire, including Director of Sales, Group Accounts, as well as National Manager of Training.

“Lyle’s experience working with private brand tire manufacturers in new product development will play a key role in our strategic marketing efforts, particularly in product sourcing,” says Jim Mayfield, president of Del-Nat.
