Discount Tire expands in two states

Discount Tire has opened stores in Omaha, Neb, and Schaumburg, Ill. The company now operates three stores in Nebraska and 35 stores in Illinois.

The Omaha store, which is the company’s third in the city, has 11 employees. The store is managed by Carl Bennett, who has been with the company for 17 years. The Schaumburg store has seven employees and is managed by Matthew Palmaymesa, who has 13 years of service with the company.

Discount Tire operates more than 875 stores in 28 states. The company is based in Scottsdale, Ariz., and does business under the trade name Discount Tire in most of the U.S. and America’s Tire in Oregon, and parts of Washington and California.

Earlier this month, the company opened stores in Florida and Colorado.

Discount Tire, which is part of the Reinalt-Thomas Corp., ranks No. 1 on the 2013 MTD 100.
