TRIB: Spot the retreads and win at MATS

Posted on March 19, 2014

The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) is renewing its "Spot The Retreads" competition at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., March 27-29, 2014. Seven sets of retreaded tires will be awarded during the show.

Visitors to TRIB's booth (#13036) can enter the "Spot The Retreads" contest and try to correctly identify a range of new and retreaded tires. Participants who correctly identify all the tires will be entered into daily drawings for sets of eight commercial truck tires to be retreaded on the participants’ own casings.

With seven sets of retreaded tires to be won, the total value of the tires to be given away during the show is over $10,000.

“Investing in retreaded tires always makes sense given the massive economic and environmental benefits they offer," says TRIB Managing Director David Stevens. "But in an environment where raw material prices for tires continue to increase and fuel prices continue to rise, retreaded tires make even more sense, whether you are an owner-operator with one truck or a fleet with hundreds.

“Along with our member companies participating in the contest, we feel we've come up with a great way to demonstrate the quality of the retreaded tires as well as provide very valuable prizes to attendees of the show.”

The following TRIB members are providing retreading services for the seven winners at the show and many of them will be displaying their quality retreaded tires in TRIB's booth: AcuTread Alliance Group, Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions, Continental Tire the Americas, Goodyear Retreads, Marangoni Tread North America, Michelin Retread Technologies, and Oliver Rubber Company.
