TBC is adding 16 sizes to its Extreme Grip MX studdable winter line.

TBC Wholesale is expanding its Winter Claw Extreme Grip MX studdable winter line by 16 sizes for the 2014-2015 season. The additions bring the line's size offering to 64 high volume fitments for passenger cars, SUVs, and pickups.

The Winter Claw Extreme Grip targets the economy winter tire market with a unique combination of performance, size assortment, and technologies historically associated with a higher tier product, while offering an economical price point to drive consumer demand, according to the company.

TBC says the Winter Claw’s stylish directional design, dense siping pattern, and progressively distributed stud pins provide outstanding cold weather grip and stability on all surface conditions. Additionally, the Winter Claw is manufactured with the extensive use of environmentally friendly technologies, complying with the European Union “Clean Oil” regulation.

“It is important that we continue the development and differentiation of the Winter Claw program in terms of appropriate high growth size additions, especially in the 18-inch, 19-inch, and 20-inch later model crossover, SUV, and the newer compact fitments that are increasing in popularity especially in Canada,” says Jon Vance, senior director of marketing.

“Customers and dealers are looking for value-oriented products that stand out from the crowd, and the Winter Claw Extreme Grip fills that need with superior performance and size availability.”

The Winter Claw program is available through TBC Wholesale’s Core Brand programs for the replacement tire market. TBC says the programs are designed to service independent wholesale and retail dealers. The programs feature access to TBC Wholesale’s portfolio of proprietary brands including Multi-Mile, Eldorado, Cordovan, Sigma, Vanderbilt, Telstar, and Jetzon.

The 16 new sizes target fitments (listed below) range from 15 inches to 20 inches in a variety of late model vehicle types including compacts, sedans, crossovers, and full size pickups.
