ASA releases latest versions of TireMaster

Posted on May 9, 2014

ASA Automotive Systems has released the latest versions of its TireMaster 8.8.0 and TireMaster POS 3.8.8 software for independent tire dealers. Carfax service history reports are among the improvements.

The company says many of the features in this latest TireMaster release were developed as a direct result of user input gathered during workshops at the most recent ASA Client Conference.

One of the most significant changes includes a Carfax integration that will help dealers quickly add a new customer vehicle while instantly populating accurate VIN, year, make, and model detail, and with access to service history reports. Other enhancements include:

* additional flexibility with shop charge calculations;

* simplifying the sales process to customers who have national-account or government-support agreements with various vendors;

* improved inventory list sorting and database search capabilities; and

* increased functionality in the quote/estimate writer.

The company says the updated software provides ASA dealers more control in streamlining workflow and improving their customer service.

TireMaster is an integrated point-of-sale and accounting system that helps tire dealers perform fast transactions, sell more products and services, improve customer interaction, track customer history, market to and retain customers, and create an environment to increase tire store profitability.

“We continue to strive to demonstrate our support of our clients through innovative new updates that allow our products to better serve these tire dealers," says Dave Vogel, vice president and general manager at ASA Automotive Systems.

"By listening to our customers and responding to the various ways our software is used in the marketplace, we look to continually advance the capabilities and features inherent in our systems."

Headquartered in Merrimack, N.H., ASA Automotive Systems is part of the Friedman Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Constellation Software, Inc.

ASA develops and builds licensed and cloud-based software solutions, delivers support and services, and enables leading independent tire dealers and automotive repair shops to achieve a maximum return on their information technology investment.

ASA’s software tools help tire dealers and auto repair shops manage all facets of their businesses and can be tailored to suit the order processing, accounting, ecommerce and business management needs of any size retail, commercial, wholesale, or retread operation.  For more information, visit www.asaautomotive.com.

Cost Pressures Will Likely Continue to Build

According to the results of our survey, demand for passenger and light truck replacement tires declined in March. Indeed, from a volume standpoint, the dealers reported they sold 0.8% fewer tires in March relative to the previous year’s period. The decline marks the third straight month of poor results versus the prior year’s period. However, on more a positive note, trends improved sequentially.
