No grace period for BKT's new marketing mgr.

Nick Veliky is the new marketing manager of BKT Tires USA Inc. He has had little time to breathe in his new job, because parent company Balkrishna Industries Ltd. announced it was sponsoring the global Monster Jam series only two months ago.

While he awaits the delivery of new BKT tires for the Monster trucks, Veliky is helping to prepare two television ads that will air on Fox Sports 1, home of the Monster Truck events.

Veliky was previously director of marketing for Sax Macy Fromm & Co. PC, an accounting and business consulting firm based in New York City. He has been in sales and marketing for more than 30 years.

In his "spare" time, he is owner and publisher of two community newspapers, The Jersey Insider Passaic County Edition and Bergen County Edition.

In the United States, the 2014 Monster Jam series will run through Oct. 4.
