Cooper kicks off consumer rebate promotion

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has launched a summer reward promotion that offers consumers the opportunity to get up to $70 back when purchasing select Cooper tires, including the new CS5 Touring tire. The promotion runs through July 15, 2014.

Cooper says the American Automobile Association predicts this summer travel season will be one of the busiest since 2000. The company is ready to help drivers jump-start the season with special savings and a full lineup of products for all of life’s road trips.

Consumers are eligible to receive up to a $70 Visa prepaid card by mail when purchasing a new set of four qualifying Cooper tires through participating dealers in the U.S., District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Consumers can obtain details by visiting a local Cooper Tire dealer or www.coopertirerebates.com.

For online fans, Cooper is offering the chance to win a $100 gift card on Facebook in conjunction with the summer rebate. Now through July 15, Cooper fans can visit the “Real Life Road Trip” tab at www.facebook.com/coopertire and enter the sweepstakes by sharing their ideal summer road trip plans.

Ten winners will be drawn randomly to win a $100 gift card to use during their next road trip.

Michelin’s Net Income Rises 43% in 2016

Margins on consumer tires helped boost Groupe Michelin’s net income 43% in 2016. Michelin posted net income of 1.7 billion euros on net sales of 20.9 billion euros for its fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2016.
