ACDelco announced it has expanded its social presence to Twitter and Instagram in an effort to engage young consumers and other social media users to the brand’s 90,000-plus products, services and network of Professional Service Center participants.
“Social media channels like Twitter and Instagram have helped bring together the online consumer, enthusiast and auto expert communities, and we’re thrilled to be a part of the sharing experiences and conversations,” said Chris Brandt, ACDelco national marketing manager.
ACDelco says that according to published reports, there are an estimated 241 million active Twitter users and 200 million monthly Instagram users. About 34% of teens and millennials (14-34) use Instagram.
On ACDelco’s Twitter feed, followers will find everything from car-care tips to updates on new products, hot cars and special ACDelco programs. Look for vintage and current images of ACDelco products and ads on Instagram, where followers are encouraged to share their own ACDelco-inspired handiwork or imagery.
