Robert Bosch LLC has added 41 part numbers to its braking, rotating electric and horn product lines. These new part numbers cover close to 3 million additional vehicles on the road.

The part numbers break down as follows:

* 10 new part numbers for Bosch Blue Brake Pads and Bosch QuietCast Brake Pads that expand Bosch late model coverage for Asian, domestic and European vehicles;

* Nine new and remanufactured starters and alternators that cover an additional  2.3 million late model Asian, domestic and European vehicles in operation; and

* 22 new universal horns for the aftermarket released in the 100th year of the invention of the horn for automotive use.

Brake pads

The new brake pads expand coverage by half a million units in operation. Hardware kits are included with four of the new brake pad sets. Bosch QuietCast brake pad sets with hardware kits are available for 2013-2014 Honda Accord, 2011 Audi A8 Quattro, 2012 A6 Quattro and A7 Quattro. For these same vehicles, Bosch Blue Brake Pads are also available with hardware kits.

The Bosch premium QuietCast line features a pre-attached rubber core shim mainly used by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).  This type of shim is offered exclusively by Bosch for the independent aftermarket.

Rotating electric products

Five alternators and four starters have expanded the Bosch aftermarket offering in the rotating electric category by 2.5 million vehicles.

New alternator releases include both new and remanufactured units for 2007-2010 Mini Cooper 4-cyl. 1.6L, as well as alternators for select late model Mini, Volkswagen, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles.

As far as starters, remanufactured units have been released for vehicles such as 2010-2012 Mazda 3, 2011-2013 Chrysler 200 and Town & Country models, and a number of General Motors vehicles.

Horns

Celebrating the 100th year of the invention of the horn for automotive use, Bosch has released 22 new universal horns for the aftermarket, including disc horns, fanfare horns, compressor trumpets, and compressor air trumpets.

A Bosch horn brochure (#14070333), available through Bosch sales representatives, contains additional information.
