Event: NYTDA general meeting on Oct. 8

The New York Tire Dealers Association (NYTDA) is holding its October 2014 General Meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Fox Hollow Inn in Woodbury, N.Y.

Cocktails -- with a free open bar -- will begin at 7 p.m., with dinner to follow. The evening's program is as follows:

* a seminar by Net Driven: "How to use social media in your business."

*  a presentation by Parts Authority/National Pronto Association on their program and its nationwide warranty.

* a presentation by Automated Merchant Services, which will tell you how you can save money on your credit card processing.
