Exec Reveals the Secret to Tire Discounters' Success

Posted on July 11, 2016

Earlier this year, Tire Discounters Inc. reached a rare milestone -- it opened its 100th store. Of all the independent dealers on the Modern Tire Dealer 100 list, only eight dealerships can make that claim (next up: Belle Tire Distributors Inc.).

It also went through a transition phase at the top, with Chairman Chip Wood once again adding CEO to his title.

What's next for the Cincinnati, Ohio-based company? That was the question MTD Editor Bob Ulrich asked himself at the time. After a 230-mile drive to the Tire Discounters headquarters, he found out.

His exclusive interview with Wood, President and Chief Operating Officer Jamie Ward and Senior Vice President of Sales Operations and Marketing Clarissa Niese will appear in the July issue of Modern Tire Dealer.

But if you want a little taste of what will appear, check out Ulrich's latest blog, "Exclusive: Tire Discounters Reveals Its Plans for the Future." It features a one-on-one with Ward, and is information not included in the story.
