Goodyear Expects RM-4B+ To Become Its 'Go-To' Mining Tire

Posted on September 13, 2016

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will display its newest, ultra-large haulage mining tire, the 63-inch RM-4B+, during this month’s MINExpo 2016 in Las Vegas, Nev.

“The new RM-4B+ contains our latest technologies in materials, design, construction and manufacturing, and is precision-made – using our cutting-edge tire manufacturing equipment – to help mine haul trucks operate at optimal levels,” says Caroline Pajot, general manager of global off-the-road tires for Goodyear.

“This tire represents the culmination of all we have learned over the years. We believe it will become the ‘go-to’ tire for large haulage mining operations.”

Also during MINExpo 2016, Goodyear will demonstrate how it helps mining operations reduce their costs through:

products, including a full tire portfolio, retreads, and a variety of uptime-enhancing technologies, such as Hi-Stability Carcass Technology, CycleMax Tread Compound Technology, and Goodyear Permafoam;

worldwide support, including an international distribution network and global field support, to help keep mine haul trucks running;

reliable services, including global field consultations, tire surveys and footprint evaluations – to help end users optimize their operations;

value-added tools, including Goodyear EMTrack Performance Tracking, digital tools, and in-depth training designed to help mining operations grow their business with confidence.

“Goodyear is committed to the mining industry and our customers,” says Pajot. “We invite MINExpo 2016 attendees to visit our booth to discover how Goodyear can help lower their total cost of ownership.”

Goodyear's booth is No. 6009 at MINExpo 2016, held Sept. 26-28 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
