Attendance Was No Problem at the CTDA-1-800EveryRim Luncheon

Representatives from 46 companies, ranging from suppliers and wholesalers to retailers, joined host Billy Eordekian at the California Tire Dealers Association/1-800EveryRim New Year Luncheon on Jan. 12. The event was held at the Dal Rae Restaurant in Pico Rivera, Calif.

"The spirit of this event is for guests to really enjoy the social period and to see old friends while making a whole lot of new ones," said Eordekian, president of 1-800EveryRim.com-OEM Wheels and a CTDA board member. "And what spirit we had!”

With California Tire Dealers Association (CTDA) President Chris Barry serving as master of ceremonies,Tire Industry Association (TIA) President Tom Formanek and Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Wheel & Tire Council Chairman Joe Findeis shared featured speaker duties. Formanek, regional sales manager of Stellar Industries, summed up what the presidential election might mean to the tire industry, while Findeis, owner of The Ultimate Wheel & Tire Plus Sizing Guide, spoke about the benefits of using the "WTC Ride Guide" and how it assists dealers with vehicle performance relating to wheel and tire sizing.

Chris Likert, marketing representative for Federated Insurance, Dave Redfern, CTDA director, also spoke at the luncheon.

News TravelCenters Celebrates the Opening of Its First Retread Facility

TravelCenters of America LLC recently held the grand opening for its first TA Commercial Tire Network Retread Center. Located in Bowling Green, Ohio, the center uses the Goodyear UniCircle and precure processes to retread an average of 110 truck tires a day.

In Grand Prairie, Texas, near Dallas, BestOne opened its first facility. The retread facility was built with space to add two more curing chambers for the future.
