Omni United Extends Sponsorship of LPGA Golfer Jodi Ewart Shadoff

Omni United says there will be more activities and programs involving LPGA golfer Jodi Ewart Shadoff and its dealers to promote the Radar brand in 2017.

Omni United (S) Pte. Ltd. has signed Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) golfer Jodi Ewart Shadoff as ambassador for its flagship Radar tires brand for the second straight year.

The 2017 LPGA Tour begins this week in Australia. The ISPS Honda Women’s Australian Open kicks off at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club in South Australia February 16-19.

After a career-best second place finish at the 2016 Citi Banamex Lorena Ochoa Invitational at Mexico City, Shadoff looks to continue the momentum into 2017.

"I am really excited and looking forward to start my 2017 season in Australia this week. 2016 was an exciting year for me and I hope to be able to up my game in the 2017 season. I am thankful to my sponsors Radar tires and Omni United for their continued support," says Shadoff.

Omni United signed Jodi as a brand ambassador for Radar tires, Omni United’s flagship brand in 2016. As a part of the agreement, Jodi represents Radar tires in the LPGA tournaments and carries the brand logo on her apparel and golf bag.

In October 2016 Jodi joined with the Radar tires brand in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), a nonprofit breast cancer organization in the US committed to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer.

Radar tires has been supporting this organization for more than 5 years now and to date donated over $1 million USD.

All through the month of October, Jodi wore pink and carried a pink golf bag to spread awareness and show support for the cause. Throughout the year Jodi was also part of a number of Radar dealer meets and programs where customers got a chance to play golf with the pro.

Omni United says 2017 will see an increased number of activities and programs involving Jodi and the dealers for greater promotion of the Radar brand.

From 2015 to 2016 Jodi managed to significantly improve her game, moving up from 206th to 59th in the official world rankings and working her way to the 32nd rank in the official money list from 98th in 2015. She improved on various parameters like number of birdies from 85th to 8th and overall finishing ten tournaments in the top 20.

Her best finish was in November 2016, where she tied for second place at the Citi Banamex Lorena Ochoa Invitational at Mexico City.

“I have always believed in Jodi’s capabilities and see her as one of the fast-rising stars in the world of professional golf. I wish her all the best for the 2017 season. Radar tires and Omni United is always there to support her,” says GS Sareen, founder and CEO, Omni United.

The company has other sports marketing programs for its Radar tires brand. For the past five years, Radar tires has sponsored motorsports teams in several offroad racing series. In 2014 Radar tires’ sponsored teams swept the SCORE International Baja races – winning the Baja 250, 500 and 1000 in class 10. In 2015 and 2016, Radar tires teams placed top 3 in several off road points’ championships.
