Point S Opens Office to Focus on Growth in Asia

Point S Development is continuing its global expansion with the opening of an office in Singapore to coordinate the growth of Point S Asia.

Ler Hwee Tiong, commonly referred to as Ler, will serve as the region's chief representative and will coordinate activities for the Asian region from an office in Singapore.

Ler has more than 21 years in the tire industry, and has held various key and executive roles in several large tire companies before venturing out in 2008 to co-found Asia’s first e-commerce tire site, Tyrepac.

He will consult and coordinate all of Point S activities in the Asia region and assist in the further expansion of Point S beyond the recently announced Malaysia and India market.

“I am pleased to be associated with Point S’s development in Asia," says Ler. "The one and only truly global retailing group that I know, with presence in Canada, United States, throughout Europe, Africa, and now Asia. An impression achievement in a short 40 odd years, with combined revenue now in excess of 3 billion Euro, and selling in excess of 16 million tyres annually in 32 countries, with more than 3400 retailing points."
