15th China Tire Expo Will Be Held in August

Posted on June 16, 2017

The 15th China International Tire Expo (CITEXPO) will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre Aug. 21-23, 2017.

The exposition will feature 400 exhibitors from 120 countries. The show's organizing committee estimates there will be more than 13,000 visitors in attendance.

Change from September to August

This year, CITEXPO will be breaking tradition by holding the expo in August instead of September.

“People may wonder why we made this move, and the reason is simple: This is the best strategic act to attract new visitors and expand markets," says the organizing commitee. "Our exhibitors explain that they do not prefer dates near national day as factory visit is difficult, which affects orders arrangement." (Chinese National Day, a public holiday in the People's Republic of China, is held on Oct. 1.)

Opening the show in August also gives vistors from around the world time to not only attend CITEXPO, but also other shows during a very busy show season, "and that’s what we want to achieve.”

Exhibit profile

Show organizer Reliable International Exhibition Services Co. Ltd. has divided the exhibition center's 40,000 square meters (more than 430,000 square feet) into the following areas of interest:

Tires, Casings and Tubes;

Wheels/Rims;

Tire Accessories;

Equipment for Tire Repairs;

Materials, Plants, Equipment and Tools for Tire & Wheel Production;

Tire Retreading; and

"other related services and products."

CITEXPO Shanghai, already a well-known trading platform for the tire and wheel Industry, is planning to expand its exhibits in the future to include "driving experience and system upgrading related products." The ultimate goal is to provide vistors an "all-in-one aftermarket trading platform" in the Asia-Pacific Region.
