Tim Abel Moves From Bridgestone to CMA

Posted on June 19, 2017

Tim Abel is joining China Manufacturers Alliance LLC (CMA) as its southwest regional sales manager. Abel, who spent more than 30 years working for Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC, will be responsible for expanding Double Coin's reach in the southwest.

“Tim is a proven sales professional with a track record of building successful business relationships with dealers and distributors and also growing their sales,” says Walter Weller, senior vice president of CMA. “Tim will play a vital role in helping us develop Double Coin’s OTR and TBR business and grow our market share.”

Abel's sales career started in 1985 with Bridgestone as the northeast regional sales coordinator. He then served as a territory manager and for 19 years was a senior account manager until 2011. He most recently worked as manager of strategic original equipment accounts, and Double Coin says he grew sales by 40% in three years. During his time at Bridgestone, he earned numerous achievement awards, including four CEO awards and four Account Executive of the Year awards.
