Key changes to its European sales organization will help Apollo Vredestein B.V. accelerate its strategic growth plans. So says Matthias Urban, the company's head of European sales.
On July 25, the company introduced three new "cluster directors" to its European sales team: Paul Eidhof, Thomas Körpert and Dimitrios Papadopoulos. Each is responsible for a group of countries in the Apollo Vredestein network. They will further support growth and be directly responsible for the implementation and execution of the company’s sales and distribution strategy.
1. Eidhof, who previously served as the country manager for the Netherlands, was elevated to his new role as cluster director of BeNeLux (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg).
2. Körpert, also a familiar face within Apollo Vredestein, was promoted from country manager of Austria to cluster director of Central-East Europe. In his new role, Körpert will be responsible for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary and Poland.
3. Dimitrios Papadopoulos joined the company as cluster director for North West, covering the United Kingdom, France, Spain and the Nordic countries. Papadopoulos has an impressive track record in consumer tire sales around Europe, according to the company.
All three European cluster directors will report directly to Urban. (A cluster director is responsible for a region of different countries; the country managers from those countries report directly to the cluster director.)
"These appointments illustrate both the depth of talent within Apollo Vredestein, our philosophy of giving our employees opportunities to grow and our determination to supplement the sales force with the best people available for the role at hand,” he says. “With their strong experience they will help us to accelerate our strategic growth plans and further build both the Apollo and Vredestein brands in Europe.”
