Plaza Tire Service Inc. has opened a second outlet in Springfield, Mo. The family-owned company headquartered in Cape Girardeau, Mo., now has 62 stores.

The newly constructed store is located at 3820 West Sunshine Street in Springfield. “This store is modeled after some of our other recently opened locations,” says Scott Rhodes, vice president of Plaza Tire Service. “This layout has proven to be efficient for our employees and provide the open atmosphere we want for customers. Large windows in the showroom overlook the service bays and allow customers to easily watch the work being performed on their vehicles.”

The new West Sunshine location in Springfield is approximately 8,650 square feet and features eight bays, allowing it to handle a large volume of vehicles. Eight people are employed at the location. While work is performed, customers can relax in the showroom complete with comfortable seating, televisions and complimentary WiFi service.

Plaza Tire Service has outfitted the shop with state-of-the-art equipment, including the Quick Check vehicle inspection system by Hunter Engineering Co., which streamlines the initial inspection of various vehicle systems, including tread depth, alignment and brake force. The store is also equipped with high-quality tire changers and balancers as well as the necessary equipment for brake jobs, shock and strut replacements, oil changes, battery replacements and other services.

That facility – a remodel of an existing automotive shop – features six bays and is already developing a strong customer base. Weekday hours for both Springfield locations are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The stores are open 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Appointments are available, and walk-in customers are welcome as well.
